I just voted to pass the Stop Insider Trading Act to ban Members of Congress from trading individual stocks while in office. If you write the laws, you shouldn’t profit from them. The American people deserve leaders focused on serving them, not cashing in on information the public will never see. It’s why I don’t own any individual stocks. In Congress, the only thing I’m invested in is Iowa. 🇺🇸

Congress is not serious. We are voting on a stock trading ban for members of Congress… BUT Republicans added voter-ID in the legislation. Not to get Dems to vote for voter-ID, but to get them to vote against the stock trading ban, so they can use it in the Nov. election. If we really wanted to…
Americans agree: Members of Congress should NOT be trading stocks & benefitting off of insider information. This is not controversial. It's not partisan. It's common sense.

The American people agree: It's time to ban stock trading in Congress and require photo ID to vote. Today, I voted to do both when we passed the Stop Insider Trading Act. Now it's up to the Senate to help us finally get this done and begin restoring trust in our government.
Our Founders envisioned a nation where citizen representatives served their constituents, not one where they used their positions to amass wealth. The Stop Insider Trading Act prevents lawmakers or their families from using insider information to enrich themselves. I voted YES.
JUST NOW: The House PASSED H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act. I am proud to stand with my fellow Republicans in the House to BAN congressional insider trading and secure our federal elections with common-sense, nationwide Voter ID in one powerful legislative package. The
For too long, Americans struggling to make ends meet have watched as lawmakers have entered office just to leave as multi-millionaires. This type of behavior is unacceptable and diminishes the American people’s trust in this institution. Today, with passage of the Stop Insider Trading Act, House Rep…
I've never owned or traded individual stocks while serving in Congress. This isn’t a red or blue issue. Banning stock trades in Congress is about accountability, and every American should demand it from their elected officials. Today, the House finally acted. Iowans are tired of the double standard…
