Government talking point

Now the question will end up back in SCOTUS lap. SCOTUS did not rule on the legality of the order, just that states timing of their suit was not proper as no one had been harmed YET. To have standing, there must be a demonstrable harm that has already occurred or will certainly occur. Trump EO ordering the USPS to not deliver ballots to any state that did not turn over their voter roles is blatant election interference as no state is legally compelled to turn them over to the fed. Trump went about this leading with his ego rather than the law. He SHOULD have gotten Congress to write a bill creating a law that requires states to synchronize their voter roles with a newly created FEC master role so they can have a master database. That would be legal and arguable. Instead, he assumed that he had the authority to order anyone to do anything he wants and is now throwing a temper tantrum because they rightly and legally said no.

to those ignorant enough to disapprove of this rational SCOTUS ruling, let me enlighten you. The Government is merely requiring States to clean up their voter rolls and prevent states from merely sending a ballot to eveyone on a dmv list. If a state is not willing to do so the USPS won;t mail the bulk ballots for those states not abiding. This protects the integrity of citizen votes.
