Right-wing Outlets Echo RFK Jr.’s ‘Invented Measles Death’ Conspiracy to Undermine Vaccine Trust

Truth: Pennsylvania’s Health Department reported a suspected measles fatality and released routine surveillance data. Lie: RFK Jr. tells conservative media that “no county coroner can find a single measles death” and insists Gov. Shapiro is hiding records—proof, he says, of a plot to smear him and force vaccines. Context: Breitbart, Newsmax, Real America’s Voice, ZeroHedge and Epoch Times repeat the allegation without documents, interviews, or medical evidence, turning an unverified hunch into a headline. Propaganda playbook: • Start with a fog-machine accusation (“they’re faking deaths”) • Amplify it through partisan channels until the original source seems secondary • Leave audiences believing public-health numbers are always suspect. The repetition weaponises uncertainty, discourages vaccination and erodes trust in state disease reporting.
