State dept scraps message telling Americans in Middle East it won't help. Social media users slammed the message on the government helpline, which has been updated, the Department of State told Newsweek
The United States Department of State announced new steps to assist Americans overseas and help those who want to depart dangerous regions while providing security updates and coordination with embassies and Congress. What made you decide our Citizens trapped in the middle east might possibly need assistance?
Representative Finstad, sharing a phone number is fine — but what Americans need right now is accountability and leadership. If we have citizens in the Middle East who may need emergency consular assistance, we should also be asking why tensions have escalated to this point and whether Congress has fulfilled its constitutional duty before supporting further military action. The role of the U.S. Department of State is to protect and assist Americans abroad — and I’m grateful for the diplomats and staff doing that work. But members of Congress have a different responsibility: oversight, transparency, and ensuring that any use of force is lawful and authorized. Minnesotans deserve more than reactive statements. We deserve thoughtful leadership that prioritizes the safety of Americans — including service members and civilians — before crises unfold, not just after.
Meanwhile, Russia is providing Iran information. Where America troops are. Who's telling Russia Donald John Trump 🤔?

This was the message when they bombs started falling though: "Welcome to the Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office of Overseas Citizen Services, serving U.S. citizens abroad. If you are calling about the crisis in the Middle East, please press 1, if not press 2. Please do not rely on the US government for assisted departure or evacuation at this time. There are currently no United States evacuation points." But, sure, y’all know what you’re doing…sure you do.
