We’re going to have a lot more veterans needing those services as Trump “leads” us onto more wars. Too bad he made huge cuts to VA health services.
I never received a response from you regarding my suggestion to take that 1.3 billion in illegal tariffs and apply it to veterans benefits through the VA. Care to respond?

Support all us District 3 veterans by taking care of our small regional hospitals. We need them.
Trump promised care for veterans. Thousands of health jobs were axed. Trump admin promised to care for veterans. Thousands of VA healthcare positions were just eliminated - Department responsible
Preventing veteran suicide must include supporting the family caregivers who keep veterans safe at home. The VA can start by training VA staff with knowledge and compassion. Staff should speak the facts clearly and not give misleading information. The Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program should also be improved. One important step is to eliminate the unnecessary requirement for a third-party representative. Spouses and family caregivers are the ones providing care every day and paying the bills for the household. They sacrificed their careers and their lives to care for the veteran. Why not trust them? When veterans can fully use the VDC program, families are less likely to face financial crisis. They can keep their home, afford utilities, and have some security for the future. That stability reduces stress for both the veteran and the caregiver and can help prevent despair and suicide. Where is the efficiency? Where is the common sense? Veterans and their caregivers deserve policies that truly support them. ❤️
Under President Biden's leadership the administration implemented major improvements to VA healthcare, headlined by the PACT Act, which expanded eligibility for toxic-exposed veterans. Other key advancements included reducing wait times for mental health/primary care, expanding IVF access, launching national tele-emergency care, and achieving record-low veteran homelessness.
You republicans are a joke why dont you help the homeless veterans.
Did you talk about HR 6047-the Sharri Brille & Eric Edmondson Veterans Benefit Expansion Act. Supported by Chm Bost and Rep Tom Barrett which you have not signed on as a co-sponsor even though the names I mentioned are Republicans. There are more than 11,800 surviving spouses living in Arizona who could benefit from this passage. There have been no increases in the DIC benefits since 1993. You continue to talk about supporting our troops and their families but here is another example where I am not seeing it happening. (There have been 2 recent hearings in the Veterans Services Committee, which you are a member of, but never speak about.).
Will this protect veterans...Americans who RISKED THEIR LIVES...from the lack of care you and Trumpy cut from the Veterans Administration budget? Hippocrite. Very sad you represent in us Congress. Very sad.
What used to be one of the greatest benefits of being a veteran was the ability to utilize the commissary and save a lot of money. Now you don't save a penny, and it isn't worth your time because they have to make a profit. It's a typical government ran agency
So Senator, my veteran husband has yet to have increase in his disability despite an increase of his care and his body damage from his service. Would your office like to help us?? Because so far, Congress and your actions have been silent and tone deaf.
May we ask why you’ve repeatedly voted against funding for our veteran’s care, Marsha?
Federal Agencies unite to improve healthcare access for vulnerable veterans. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Justice (DOJ) have joined forces to help the most susceptible veterans in the nation get vital continuing healthcare
Veterans should be able to go to any doctor or hospital they want for free. They could get rid of the VA system and let the veteran choose their doctor and hospital.
Trump doesn't recognize the debt we owe veterans | Opinion. At a time when our forces are in harm's way, the people who care for them at home through Veterans Affairs are being stretched thinner and thinner

Politicians claim to care about the troops but abandoned us at the VA. 22 isn’t a statistic it’s the VA quota. Nothing at the VA makes anything easy!!! We need a new Sec of VA that equally cares about all us Veterans, not just the his select few!!!
You won’t support Veterans where it matters most. With financial and medical support. Release the Trump-Epstein files.
Bergman, Golden, Bacon, Suozzi introduce bill to formally review mental health programs for servicemembers and veterans. Jared Golden (ME-02), Tom Suozzi (NY-03), and Don Bacon (NE-02) have introduced the bipartisan Improving Mental Health Support for Servicemembers and Veterans Act, according to a press release on Monday
It’s definitely a win to see the new Huntsville South VA Specialty Care Clinic open its doors. Cutting down drive times for local vets is something we can all get behind. However, if we look at Rep. Strong's full voting record in Washington, the picture is a bit more complicated. Yes, he recently voted for the FY26 MilCon-VA appropriations to fund veterans' healthcare, and he backed the emergency VA funding in late 2024. But it’s also worth remembering his vote for the Limit, Save, Grow Act in 2023. That legislation aimed to cap federal spending without explicitly exempting the VA. At the time, major veteran advocacy groups warned that the lack of protection would equate to a massive cut to the VA, potentially worsening the very wait times this new clinic is trying to fix. We absolutely need a dedicated VA Health Care Center here in North Alabama, but we also need our reps to ensure the VA’s overall budget is protected from sweeping cuts in every single spending bill
Then why do you vote against our troops and veterans?
VA rolls out new technology that could dramatically cut wait times for veterans. WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs said new technology now operating nationwide could significantly reduce the time it takes for veterans to schedule health care appointments
VA change impacting thousands of veterans gets mixed reaction. The partnership with the DOJ expands the federal government's role in appointing legal guardians for vulnerable veterans
Being "pro-veteran" doesn't mean starting new wars to create more veterans.
Stop pandering and lying Mary! You voted and supported huge cuts to the VA that HURT our veterans. You could care less about our veterans. You should be THOROUGHLY ASHAMED of yourself!

WHAT? ANOTHER APP SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED VETERANS CANNOT USE BECAUSE VA STAFF REFUSE TO ATTEND APPOINTMENTS, MAKE REFERRALS, OR PROVIDE VIABLE COMMUNITY CARE.
How is this going to happen when your orange overlord and his minions gutted the VA? And YOU let him do it. You know, many who lost their jobs were veterans too. Do we not care about them?
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs If you really cared about veterans you would work hard to push the legalization of medical marijuana for too long veterans such as myself has been pushed hundreds of pills with thousands of negative side effects when all we could be doing would be smoking or in consuming marijuana marijuana has basically no side effects losing 22 veterans a data suicide is ridiculous especially when there's a cure that the majority of the states are already using with great results
Explain this, Jack: Collins was and remains behind an initiative to kick veterans off their earned benefits. Why. What process or when did hearings occur, and what was the period of public comment concerning this drastic CUT to veterans benefits. I don't expect you to answer, Congressman. I have no expectations of you any longer. I served, too. And I would have thought, you would take this job as seriously as we did, when in uniform.
Get trump under control before we get our next mass group of veterans with PTSD
might wanna take a hard look at the Boise VA leadership from the Top down. They are not interested in the mission of taking care of our nations disabled Vets.
So thankful for the VA and so glad that I signed up in the MVP. The VA has saved my life. Please if you are a Veteran I strongly encourage you to participate in the VA.
Thanks to Trump, if you’re in need of help with the VA, you’re going to have to wait months to get the care you need.
And what did you do to stop the downgrade and firings of employees in the VA that assist veterans? NOTHING!
Another photo op did you inform them that you opposed increased VA spending?
You want to make sure veterans get what they need. Then, make sure that every d*** emergency room has transportation home for a veteran that comes there in an ambulance. You call these organizations for help, and what do they do first thing out of their mouth is trying to not help you. They ask you, you don't have friends and family.I'm seventy nine years old, almost most of my f****** friends are dead family four hundred miles to fifteen hundred miles away. This is a problem. The val verde regional medical center is the worst emergency room care.I have found ever

Yet it’s the VA itself that is a major cause of anxiety within Veterans!!
I'll bet a lot of it has to do with the hopelessness vets feel after dealing with the VA!!!!!!
