Celebrating women is easy. Protecting their rights is what really matters. If you want to show support for women across West Virginia, vote no on the SAVE Act, which would make it harder for many eligible women to vote — especially those who have changed their last name after marriage. Women deserve more than words on International Women’s Day, Senator Shelley Moore Capito. They deserve equal access to the ballot box. #WVDeservesBetter #ProtectTheVote #ChangeIsComing #WorkingClassWins #RetireCapito

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Define "celebrating women." Because my celebration and yours appear to be different. Then again, we've literally never been in a room together, ma-am, and I'm a lifelong West Virginian, so we'll never know. Imagine that.
Ah yes, nothing like celebrating “faith, family, and freedom” while glossing over, well, the minor detail of a former President’s associates and their Epstein linked controversies. Facts, The National Federation of Republican Women is a long standing political organization promoting Republican candidates and conservative causes. Many politicians speak there to signal alignment with social conservatives. Speakers often highlight family connections, as in this case, the member’s mother is president of a local chapter (Wiregrass Republican Women), which is a nice personal touch… and makes for a wholesome photo op. Meanwhile, the broader political network includes figures who have been named in the Epstein files or connected investigations, reminding observers that celebrating “family values” and “freedom” doesn’t necessarily shield you from the messiness of real world associations. So yes, it’s perfectly wholesome and inspiring, just don’t ask the audience to check their calendars for criminal indictments or federal investigations before applauding. 🙃

If we actually care about defending women, maybe start with policies that materially improve women’s lives — not slogans designed to divide people and score culture-war points. 😡
Pretty statement for International Women’s Day….but your voting record doesn’t match that energy. You voted against the Reproductive Freedom for Women Act and the Right to Contraception Act. You’re approval rate with women (AAUM) is at 22% 😬 You’ve also supported the SAVE Act, which will make it harder for many Americans, specifically women who’ve changed their names, to be able to register and vote. I believe being a champion for women means defending the protections that impact their everyday lives, not just posting nice quotes. Do better.
