Respect for the honor of service by these Americans. Sadness for the loss of those we respect and honor because of their service. Anger and bewilderment because we have no reason why such a horrible sacrifice was asked for by this regime.

Those of you turning the dignified transfer of SGT Pennington into a political argument, you’re missing the entire point of what that moment represents. These ceremonies are about honoring the service, sacrifice, and life of the service member who didn’t make it home—not about scoring political points or arguing over parties or personalities. When a fallen soldier is brought home, the focus should be on respect for them and support for their family. Turning that moment into a political debate only takes away from the dignity and honor those service members deserve. RIP Soldier 🇺🇸

Honoring fallen warriors at Dover Air Force Base reminds the nation that freedom carries a real cost. Standing with the First Lady and Cabinet to receive those returning home shows that their sacrifice is not forgotten and their service is honored at the highest level. Once again the Republican led House following the Senate, abrogated their constitutional responsibility to debate and confirm the act of war currently initiated by the lawless commander in chief. Apparently it's appropriate to honor the courage of those that gave their lives at the Alamo while cowardly cringing in a corner when expected to do your job.

Of course, they are hero’s and our hearts go out to their bereaved families. What a tragedy to lose them in a war that could and should have been avoided. Please do your job so we won’t lose more of our country’s finest.

A post meant to pay tribute for an Iowa Soldier, and it turns into unnecessary toxic comments.  To the parents of Sgt. Coady. The majority of Iowans who are extremely sympathetic for your fallen son, we pray for you and your family that God leads you through this difficult time.
