Sounds like more political finger-pointing than anything else. Ensuring TSA workers get paid is obviously important, but framing it as we’ll pay them as long as we have to while blaming the other side just keeps the cycle going. At some point, both parties need to stop using shutdowns as leverage and actually pass a stable funding solution.

ICE & CBP were completely funded in the Big Beautiful Bill. Republicans want an increase because Noem and her team flew through that money. Now Democrats want to hold up ICE & CBP additional funding until controls on them are put in place. Unfortunately, TSA & some other funding is affected. Bipartisan agreements are in place to fund TSA & others but Trump won’t sign off until he gets his SAVE bill thru. A majority of Republicans are afraid to vote for the TSA funding because of Trump. McClain is one of the scared Republicans.
