That’s not accurate. Democrats have already supported funding TSA, FEMA, and most of DHS. The holdup is over specific ICE policy terms — not an effort to ‘protect illegal aliens.’ Shutdown fights are about conditions on ICE funding, not refusing to fund DHS.
