Weird flex. There are more than 36 million small businesses in the US. I don't consider helping only 1/3rd of small businesses a win, especially in the terrible economy we have today. Rising costs caused by Trump's policies will eat that "savings" in the first quarter.

These small businesses can't prosper if the working families can not afford to buy their products. The families that are counting every penny spent, are buying necessities mostly provided by big corporations. This doesn't help the small businessman. Never ending cycle take from the poor give to the wealthy!

Still trying to rebrand the One Big Beautiful Bill as a Working Families Tax Cut are we? This legislation the raised borrowing costs, made healthcare more expensive, and delivered very little tax relief for most small businesses. Not to mention the $1 billion it took from rural WV healthcare which will ultimately affect everyone, including small businesses, but I digress.

When the SNAP and Medicaid cuts, that you voted for, start in January 2027, small businesses are going to be financially crippled. Given the fact that you have been in Congress, the State Assembly, and worked for Ed Royce for years, I wonder how much impact your “small business” had on the community. Did you have a business license? Pay employees? Show a profit? Were you actively involved in day to day operations?

Yay! What wonderful news. So, I guess you have also helped our valuable entrepreneurs by making it easier for them to provide health insurance, a decent wage, retirement plans, after school care, and the like? Forgot that, huh? Why does the word “fraud” keep popping into my brain? Window dressing is fine…but it doesn’t help small businesses succeed, Senator.

Most businesses are solo entrepreneurs because the expense and complications of keeping up with the regulatory environment can't be managed at small scale. Why is there a cap on SS contributions but not a floor? Why are there no exemptions for businesses that gross less than a million a year for things like employee/employer contributions? Why no support of paid leave or Healthcare that a small business wouldn't go bankrupt to provide? Guess maybe I'm just in the wrong business...

But do you realize as Trump is taking a machete to our tiny pile of disposable income we can't afford to support anybody even our own families. Remember Senator Hugh Scott? He had Pennsylvania strong Republican courage to stand up to Nixon. Maybe you could give courage a try.

Trump and the GOPs states policy’s combined with skyrocketing utility costs are a death sentence for small businesses

Everyone supports small businesses, but let’s be real about that “20% deduction.” A huge chunk of that benefit goes to higher earners and pass-through entities, not your typical mom-and-pop shop struggling with rent, healthcare, and wages. If you actually want to help small businesses, focus on things like affordable healthcare, access to capital, and keeping local economies strong, not just tax breaks that disproportionately benefit the top.

How do the tax cuts for billionaires and resulting exploded deficit enter in to your analysis?

Quick question, Congressman: how does cutting $1 trillion from Medicaid and $120 billion in food assistance support the small business owners whose customers depend on those programs? The Working Families Tax Cuts gave with one hand and took with the other. Celebrating half the bill while ignoring the other half isn’t accountability — it’s a press release.

Someone needs to remind him of exactly what he said during an interview when he trashed small/mid businesses only to rave about the American automobile industry. Sorry, nothing beats a German built car, nothing. The tarrifs were easy in, easy out $ scheme. They knew they'd have to pay them back but it siphoned $ from the public whereas the carriers and biz became middlemen to that money grab. The only + I'm giving the SBA is their apparent targeting and charges against those who stole PPP and EIDL funds. I'll believe that when I see it. Double edge sword, Trump doesn't GAF about small/mid businesses and those were HIS words. Check youtube! Remember, they forced small and mid businesses to close during covid but businesses whose stock they worried about remained open. That's all the general public (BOTH sides) needed to know.

Small business owner here. I see small businesses closing their doors weekly. I talk to fellow small business owners in my city who are all struggling and deciding month by month whether they can keep their doors open. Costs are rising every day for every supply we need including gas and rent. Tariffs were charged to my small business by vendors but the rebates aren't coming to us. Since taking office this Republican Administration has done NOTHING to help my small business.
