Yes, you’re missing your children as they go off and serve. But he’s specifically thanking + honoring the mothers who leave THEIR children behind. The mothers who birth these beautiful babies, and then have to lace up their boots + leave them behind - relying on their family care plan + trusting in their support at home for weeks to months at a time. I am a mil spouse. I take care of everything + everyone at home while he’s gone. Motherhood is my greatest calling + the biggest blessing. I see how hard it is on my husband to be the one who leaves, but I don’t truly KNOW how it feels, because this isn’t about me. I couldn’t imagine how I would feel if the roles were reversed. Our female military is such a small percentage of the country, and they are already overlooked so often. Military mamas are truly so incredible. Please, give them this moment that they deserve. 💛💐
